Jane was Judith Curphey’s (Founder of the Australian Girls Choir) daughter and a director of the Australian School of Performing Arts (ASPA); she made a significant contribution to the development of Girls from Oz as one of the founding directors and as a board member. Jane was especially passionate about taking the ideals and teaching methods of the AGC to children across Australia and she was very proud of all that Girls from Oz achieved in its first eleven years. Jane’s commitment to and support of g-oz since 2007 was extremely valuable and her legacy will live on in both ASPA and g-oz. She will be remembered as a courageous and strong woman who was reliably the first one to weep with joy and pride when g-oz girls performed.
